Hi there,
I decided to write these letters, which will appear in this category as time goes on, for whoever opens them. Whether I know you personally or not, these letters are for you and will hopefully light up your day, no matter what it looks like! We need more unity and positivity at this time, and even if I don't know you, I'm here for you and rooting for you.
To start off this particular letter, I want to encourage you to do a self-check-in, if you wish. If you don't feel like it, no worries at all! But if you do want to follow along or feel like you do need a little check-in with yourself, thanks for giving it a try! This check-in is simple and comprises 3 questions. You can write down the answer to these questions, or if you want to answer them in your head, you can do that too, whatever is easiest for you! You ready?
Question 1:
What is one win, whether big or small, that you can celebrate today or this current month? (It can be anything, from something big like getting a promotion to as small as waking up on time!)
Question 2:
If anyone has commented on how you've been doing recently, would it match up to how you've been feeling you've been doing recently? If not, how do you feel you've been actually doing?
Question 3:
What are 3 strengths you would say you possess, and how can you incorporate those strengths tomorrow or this week?
Whether you reflected on this check-in or not, you are completely valid and appreciated! Anyways, let's get back to the letter!
----------------
Wherever you're at in life, I hope all is going well for you. We're all on different journeys and paths, and I wish so much happiness for you. We're all individuals, and that's what's so incredible. You may be very busy at this time and productive, with lots to do, and may be making a lot of progress; or you might be going through a slow, introspective period, trying to tend to yourself and go inward before moving forward. Wherever you're at is valid. I know sometimes some of us look at the people around us and try to conform to their paths, and there's a difference between conformity and inspiration. There's so much to be inspired by in the world, but conforming to the world around us or conforming to fit into boxes we were never meant to fit in can be the negative side of the spectrum.
You're a special person, never lose what makes you, well, you! Whether I know you personally or not, everybody has something to contribute to the world, so don't hold that gift in. You may be the person who positively inspires someone by interacting with them. It could be something as little as complimenting a barista or striking up a conversation with a stranger. On the flip side, you may strike up a conversation with someone and be inspired yourself. Life is funny like that.
Also, you should totally go on an adventure this week! If you have time, do something you wouldn't normally do! See if any festivals or events are happening near you, take a walk on a route you don't usually take, treat yourself to brunch, lunch, or dinner at a restaurant you've never been to! There are so many things to do and adventures to go on. I know I'm guilty of not getting out of the house in deep introspective times of my life, so I can't really say much, but I know I can do much! Just by writing this letter to you, I now feel inspired to go on adventures too!
Anyways, this letter is quite lengthy, so I'll wrap it up! Don't worry, I'll write another letter to you soon!
I'm rooting for you. Keep going, superstar! See you on the flip side,
Love,
Ida Summers
